What to Expect

What to expect

Going to a new church can be scary. Maybe you’ve never been to church before so this whole church thing is completely new to you. Maybe you grew up in church, but it’s been a long time since you’ve been to church. You might have grown up in one particular kind of church, or you might even be new to the area. Regardless of your background, prior church experience, or any thoughts you might have about church, we want you to know – right up front – what you can expect at NCC.

  • You can expect a warm welcome. We are excited to have you worship with us. Plain and simple, we get excited when people want to worship and learn about Jesus. When you walk in the doors, someone will greet you warmly and help you in whatever way we can.
  • You can expect to be loved. We love you. Sure, we haven’t met you yet, but our love for Jesus means that we love you too. When you visit NCC, you will be loved.
  • You can expect to hear the truth. Our pastor and teachers put a lot of time into making sure you hear quality, doctrinally sound, relevant messages and lessons so that you can come to know Jesus and learn to love and serve Him┬ámore faithfully. So, expect to hear the truth.

Our worship is blended in format, so you might hear hymns, choruses, and worship songs. You might know them or you might not. Don’t worry though. We put the words up for you to see to make it as easy as we can for you.

We have no expectations about how you dress. You’re going to see some people in suits, ties, and fancier clothes and some in shorts and flip-flops. It doesn’t really matter what you wear. We want you to feel at home and be loved.

When you come, if there’s anything we can do to make your visit more comfortable, please let us know.

We’re looking forward to meeting you soon!
